Recognition Policy for DanceSport Competition Organizers
- Canadian Events requiring the services of dancesport professionals must be recognized.
- The CDF Rules & Regulations for Professionals must be followed.
- The qualifications of all adjudicators, Canadian or out of country, must be approved by CDF.
- The words " Recognized by CDF " must show in the program and all entry blanks and programs must include the following liability disclaimer:
- Invigilators must be qualified at "Plus" level.
- All scrutineers must be qualified with a recognized Association.
- An Observer, approved by CDF, must be present at each sanctioned event and the name of this person must show in the program under " Officials ". The CDF Observer may be a person who is a hired official at the event. If the Observer is not an official at the event, he/she must be provided with two tickets to the event.
- CDF must be notified if, after approval, any changes are made within the adjudicating panel.
- Explanation ofAdjudicator Classification Code Chart - Contact CDF if needed.
- A "Memorandum of Understanding" for Officials is available. Organizers may wish to use their own contract or the one provided as an example.
"No responsibility for loss or theft of articles left in changing rooms or ballrooms can be accepted by the organizer, or by CDF, and neither can they be held liable for injury sustained by persons participating in or attending this event, however caused. Everyone attending does so at his/her own risk."
